Robotics Technician – Automotive Industry
Full Time | On Site | Woodbridge
Quick version: If you’re a hands-on Robo Tech who works directly with robots, welding systems, PLCs, and automation on the production floor, this is a solid opportunity with a Tier 1 automotive manufacturer in the Woodbridge.This is the kind of environment where people build long-term careers, with a lot of current hiring driven by retirement and not turnover.
This is not a desk role.
This is troubleshooting, programming, fixing, and keeping production moving.
What you’ll be doing:
- Programming and troubleshooting ABB, Fanuc, or Panasonic robots
- Supporting spot welding, MIG welding, and projection welding systems
- PLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley RSLogix / Studio 5000)
- Working with vision systems (Keyence, Cognex, barcode scanners)
- Responding to breakdowns and minimizing downtime
- Supporting preventive maintenance and continuous improvement
- Working closely with engineering and production teams
What we’re looking for:
- Post-secondary education in Robotics, Automation, or similar
- Real hands-on experience in automotive manufacturing
- Strong robot programming and troubleshooting skills
- Comfort working independently on the floor
- Good communication skills
- Physically able to lift up to 50lbs
Nice to have (not required):
- Medar programming
- Bosch BOS6000 exposure
- Omron Sysmac Studio / CX Programmer
- Certificate of Qualification in a skilled trade
What we offer:
- Day Shift: 7:00–3:30
- Afternoon Shift: 3:00–11:30 (+ $0.50/hr premium)
- $34–$38/hr+, depending on experience
