Who we are looking for:
Sasco, a division of Atkore, is currently searching for a Roll Former Operator A to be based out of North York. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor the ideal candidate will understand the roll forming process and have at least 5 years of relevant experience setting up and troubleshooting. This position will be responsible for setting up four roll forming machines and troubleshooting process to ensure product meets customer specification. Experience in Lean manufacturing is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Able to perform full setups of all profiles on all Roll Former Machines (mills) with no assistance.
- Able to operate all Roll Former Machines (mills) without any supervision.
- Operator must be a leader to help others to operate other mills in the Plant.
- Read vernier caliper, confirm drawing specifics are accurate and able to use measuring tape.
- Able to operate Roll Former Machine to produce excellent work in both quality, quantity to meet with no assistance and be able to meet company targets.
- Adhere to all Life Savings Rules, including Lock out tag/out (LOTO), Machine guarding, / Bypassing safety controls, powered industrials Truck (PIT) safety protocols; OHSA, Safety Policies.
- Adhere and follow to all other Atkore policies, such as harassment, free workplace of Drug and alcohol, Respect and Harassment, etc.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Five (5) years of Roll Former Machine setups experience is required.
- Experience doing full setups on Roll Forming machines necessary.
- Five years of manufacturing and fabrication experience is required.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision, in a team environment.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to stand on their feet for the duration of the workday.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Eager and interested in learning continuously in manufacturing environment.
- Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, dynamic, creative with the ability to work on its own.
- Strong oral and written skills in the English language.
- Ability to work both as a member of a team, a team leader or as an individual contributor.
