ATCO Fire Prevention Services is seeking a
Regional Sales Representative, Southern Alberta, to join our team. This critical new role will grow our
ATCO Fire Prevention Service offerings in
Calgary and surrounding area by building relationships and securing new business with clients in the Multi Family Housing, Industrial and Commercial sectors. The role will hunt for new business, offering service contracts, replacement products and full-time maintenance for the customer’s required needs.
By capturing, pursuing and closing key account sales opportunities, this position will have a significant impact to ATCO Frontec’s revenues and offer a strategic advantage in the marketplace.
The Regional Sales Representative will grow current client relations and create new partnerships with clients across Alberta Canada and further if the opportunity arises, and work with our and facilities operations, maintenance divisions and Fire division to maximize synergies for our client base.
This is a Hybrid position. Travel is required for sales growth opportunities, and occasional travel to our main office in Calgary.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline of new business opportunities in line with ATCO’s business growth strategy and budgets.
- Lead all the sales activities from the point of identifying a sales lead to the point of signing a contract, including but not limited to effective client liaison, preparation and presentation of proposals, negotiations, internal approvals.
- Develop and maintain strong trusted relationships with a portfolio of major clients in industries that include private infrastructure development; oil & gas and mining resource extraction; and green energy developments.
- Improve the company’s position as the leading supplier by recommending design improvements, new products & markets and ensuring that a marketing strategy is developed and maintained.
- Educate internally on market trends and competitor data to support the development of both annual Business Plan and ongoing plans to foster sustainable long-term growth.
- Focus on building a client base to grow revenue and profit.
- Lock in clients for Maintenance and Service Contracts along with day-to-day service offerings as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must have a background in Fire Prevention Services Service sales.
- The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate proven success in winning new business with 3 or more years of relevant sales experience in the business of operational site services.
- Strong established network of relationships in target industries.
- Must provide a valid driver's license and driver's abstract
- A university degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering is considered an asset
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate with a minimal amount of supervision.
- The successful candidate must be entrepreneurial driven and demonstrate strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in all phases of proposal development.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.

- Self-starter with strong sales skills – ability to close deals and deliver against sales targets.
- Ability to forecast short-to-long-term market potential.
- Outstanding needs analysis and concept development skills
- High commercial acumen, critical thinking, sound judgment, tact, diplomacy and ability to resolve issues.
- Solid interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive relationships.
