Regional Vice President, AB/Mid West, is a dynamic executive leader responsible for driving growth, operational excellence, and cultural leadership across their designated region. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), they play a pivotal role in aligning regional performance with corporate objectives, fostering innovation, and delivering exceptional customer and employee experiences. What To Expect In The Role
Strategic Leadership & Business Growth: Partners in corporate planning, executing long-term growth strategies through organic expansion, partnerships, and acquisitions. They monitor industry trends, oversee business reviews, and drive strategic initiatives to align with enterprise goals and support sustainable growth.
Financial Stewardship: Holds full P&L accountability, driving growth through revenue optimisation, cost control, and profitability strategies. It includes overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis to ensure financial targets are met and regional performance maximised.
Leadership, Culture, and People: Drives a high-performance, inclusive culture, coaches teams, and fosters leadership growth. Leading talent strategies in partnership with HR and senior leadership, the role champions diversity, equity, and inclusion while ensuring collaboration, accountability, and regional success.
Sales & Marketing Integration: Leads omni-channel sales and marketing strategies to enhance customer experience and drive long-term value. Partnering with sales and branch leadership, it develops proactive sales plans, monitors performance, and adapts tactics to meet evolving market demands with agility and responsiveness.
Operational Excellence: Drives operational excellence across regional facilities, overseeing infrastructure, maintenance, and expansion projects while fostering continuous improvement, innovation, and operational discipline in collaboration with branch and corporate teams.
Customer & Supplier Relations: Builds and maintains strong customer and supplier relationships, driving growth through onboarding, pricing strategies, and issue resolution. Representing the company at trade shows and industry events strengthens partnerships and enhances brand visibility.
External & Community Engagement: Represents the company in industry associations and external engagements, leads regional community initiatives, and supports Horsman Cares and other giving programs, advancing the company’s mission of “Helping Communities Thrive.”
Digital & Analytical Fluency: Leverages digital tools like Epicor P21, MS365, Power BI, Salesforce, and others to drive data-informed decisions, analyze performance trends, and develop business cases that support strategic initiatives and operational effectiveness.
Quality, Training & Compliance: Ensures quality and compliance through a “trust but verify” approach, initiating corrective actions as needed and maintaining adherence to internal policies and external regulations in collaboration with business partners.
Ideal candidate profile
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in sales, operations, or general management within the electrical distribution or related industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record of managing P&L responsibilities and driving strategic growth initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multi-site operations.
- Strong understanding of digital tools and data analytics for business decision-making.
- Completion of executive leadership development programs or equivalent training is highly desirable.
- Experience in talent development, succession planning, and fostering an inclusive workplace culture
