Explain proceduresOperate X-ray, radiographic and fluoroscopic equipmentOperate radiation therapy equipmentPerform scheduled maintenance and minor repairs on equipmentPosition patientsPrepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals materials to patients or to biological samplesSupervise technical staffTrain technicians, assistants, students or internsAssist radiation oncologists and clinical physicists with preparation of radiation treatment planWear radiation detection equipment to acquire data for use by nuclear medicine physicians in the diagnosis of diseaseAssist in the preparation of sealed radioactive materials and the construction of plaster casts and acrylic moulds to assist with administration of radiation treatmentPerform diagnostic procedures using radioactive materials on biological specimensRecord and process results of proceduresApply radiation protection measuresExplain procedures and side effects of radiationPerform basic verification and quality control checks on radiographic and film processing equipmentRecord and process patient dataProvide appropriate care and monitoring of the patient during the examination
