PAY: $26.25 per hour
OVERVIEW
We are looking for a skilled Sheet Metal Fabrication Lead Hand with experience in sign fabrication. This leadership role requires the ability to guide a team, manage multiple projects, and ensure high-quality production outcomes.
This is a full-time position based in Orillia working 42 hours per week Monday to Thursday 7AM to 4:45PM and Friday 7AM to 12PM with the possibility for voluntary overtime.
This role is eligible for group benefits after completing 2 months of employment and a boot allowance after completing the 3 month probationary period.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead a team on multiple jobs
- Train team members on safe and efficient operation of brakes, shears, and other tools
- Review drawings and specifications
- Provide clear direction to team members
- Perform quality inspections and validate specifications
QUALIFICATIONS and COMPETENCIES
- Experience in sign fabrication is required
- Leadership or lead-hand experience preferred
- Proficiency in using brakes, shears, and related equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-coordination skills
- Basic understanding of ERP systems an asset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
