Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead on-site construction, check-out, and start-up activities for capital projects. This role serves as the primary field representative, ensuring safe, efficient, and contract-compliant execution of work while coordinating closely with contractors, project teams, and site leadership.
Job Description
- Provide on-site leadership and oversight of contractor activities
- Monitor safety compliance in accordance with OSHA and Bayer requirements
- Manage schedule performance and assess project progress
- Lead weekly construction progress meetings and issue reports
- Review and coordinate contractor RFIs and change orders
- Verify quality of installed work and ensure alignment with design intent
- Coordinate site logistics, permits, utility tie-ins, and operational interfaces
- Maintain project documentation, drawings, and as-built records
- Monitor costs for Time & Materials work
- Serve as on-site liaison between contractors, CS Eng, and Bayer site management
Skills Required
- At least 1+ years’ proven experience in construction management (industrial or process environment preferred)
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification (required)
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, scheduling, and field coordination
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, multi-contractor environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
