Security Guard - Long Term Care Facility
Location: Mississauga, ON
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $18.15 per hour
Shift: Overnight Continental Shift
Additional Requirements (Upon Selection)Job Overview:Allied Universal® is hiring Security Guards for a Long Term Care (LTC) facility in Mississauga, Ontario. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in healthcare, long-term care, or environments supporting vulnerable populations.
Security staff play a key role in maintaining a safe, respectful, and secure environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:Monitor and control access to the facility
Verify identification and maintain visitor logs
Conduct interior and exterior patrols
Respond to medical, security, and behavioral incidents
Use verbal de-escalation techniques when required
Assist staff during emergencies and evacuations
Complete accurate incident reports
Work closely with facility and healthcare staff
Requirements:Valid Ontario Security Guard License
Minimum 1-2 years of security experience (healthcare or LTC preferred)
Experience working with vulnerable populations
Strong communication and de-escalation skills
First Aid & CPR Certification
Must be 18 years of age or older
Legally eligible to work in Canada
