THE ROLE - SALES MANAGER
Vickar Nissan is currently seeking a Sales Manager. Reporting to the General Manager, this individual will be responsible for overseeing departmental operations and activities. The Sales Manager will welcome and assist customers while setting an example for the team by demonstrating effective sales techniques, including presenting add‑on products and explaining technical information that enhances the customer experience. In addition to leading with integrity and professionalism, this role is responsible for actively coaching and mentoring the sales team, helping them build confidence, refine their skills, and achieve high levels of performance. The Sales Manager will foster a department culture committed to exceptional service. A high school diploma (or equivalent) is required, with a business‑related degree or diploma considered an asset.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate departmental operations and activities
- Foster a positive, team‑oriented environment that supports sales goals and exceptional customer service
- Address customer concerns professionally to ensure positive resolutions
- Manage and guide the sales team in alignment with sales targets and revenue goals
- Train staff on sales techniques and product knowledge
- Support new employee onboarding through constructive coaching and positive reinforcement
- Monitor merchandising, inventory levels, product flow, and weekly ordering
- Contribute to strategic and tactical planning initiatives
- Prepare sales forecasts and weekly/monthly performance reports
- Supervise sales representatives and their daily activities
- Continuously assess customer and store needs to anticipate and respond proactively
Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum of three years of retail experience
- At least one year in a supervisory or managerial capacity preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑focused environment
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and opening/closing shifts
- Strong leadership capabilities with an emphasis on mentorship and motivation
