Key Responsibilities.
- Transport deck freight across Canada and the U.S. in accordance with company and customer requirements
- Secure loads safely, including tarping, chaining, and tying down as required
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment and loads meet safety standards
- Maintain accurate driver logs and load documentation
- Comply with all safety regulations including hours of service, occupational health and safety, and cross-border requirements
- Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding routes, scheduling, and safety concerns
- Represent Q-Line professionally at customer sites and border crossings
- Support yard operations as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What You Bring.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Class 1A or Commercial Drivers License
- Minimum two years of long-haul or cross-border driving experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of transportation safety and regulatory requirements
- Proven reliability, accountability, and strong work ethic
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Ability to lift, secure, and tarp loads as required
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role
