About the Role
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller,you'llplay a key role inmaintainingthe accuracy and integrity of our general ledger while supporting month-end close activities, financial reporting, and audit preparation. This is a hands-on role whereyou'llwork closely with oursmall-but-mighty finance teamto ensure our financial operations support the company's rapid growth.

WhatYoullDo:
- General Ledger Management:Prepare and postdaily andmonthly journal entries, including depreciation, prepaid expense recognition, and other recurring entries tomaintainaccuratefinancial records.Maintain the fixed asset register.
- Account Reconciliations:Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations;maintainand reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Month-End Close:Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, preparing monthly working papers and supporting documentation.
- Financial Accuracy:Review transactions for accuracy and proper classification under ASPE.
- Inter-company Accounting: Reconcile inter-company transactions betweenentities.
- Audit Support:Assistwith year-end audit requests and preparation of audit schedules for external auditors.
- Process Improvement:Document and improve accounting procedures; support the Controller with ad hoc financial analysis projects.
- Collaborative Support:Work closely with the AP Administrator on reconciliations and inquiries as needed.
Who You Are:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or relatedfield.
- Severalyears of relevant accounting experience, including co-op experience.
- Enrolment in the CPA program or intent to pursue the CPA designation is considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of ASPE and general accounting principles.
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and ability to work independently.
- Experience with AI tools and interest inleveragingAI to improve accounting efficiency considered an asset
- Self-startercomfortableworking in a growing company where processes are still being refined.
