This job is posted as part of our seasonal hiring for Spring/Summer, 2026, it will be a full time seasonal role.
Do you love history, storytelling and creating memorable experiences? Hop aboard at Pursuit’s Lake Minnewanka as a Boat Captain Tour Guide for our 2026 Season (starting April 27). Help Pursuit turn the lake’s picturesque setting into an unforgettable, fun-filled ride. You'll entertain guests from around the world sharing the area’s history, charm, and hidden gems — all while navigating guests across Lake Minnewanka on one of our tour boats!
We provide Paid Training to qualify as a Tour Guide and Licensed Boat Captain! Our Boat Captain Tour Guides are also guaranteed staff housing (for a nominal fee).

As a Boat Captain Tour Guide:
You will work various shifts (approx 40 hours/week) within our operating schedule to conduct tours that operate seven days a week, 8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. with holidays, weekends and evening availability required throughout the season
- Showcase Lake Minnewanka’s history, wildlife, and landscape while providing an engaging tour
- Answer guests' questions, ensuring they enjoy their visit beyond their experience with us
- Operate our tour boats safely in accordance with Transport Canada Regulations
- Deliver an exceptional experience by combining accurate knowledge with your charisma and storytelling skills
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive Paid training to qualify as a Tour Guide and Licensed Boat Captain!
- Safely operate tour boats, in accordance with Transport Canada regulations Master Limited 60 Ton (all training provided and paid for)
- Maintain trip and mechanical logs, report boat performance issues
- Participate in the global effort to keep all areas of Minnewanka clean and wildlife safe
- Be prepared for a fast-paced work environment with changing conditions
- Commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences
- Boating experience is a plus, but we will train the right candidate
- High attention to detail and good communication skills
- Ability to multitask in fast paced environments
- Ability to think calmly and clearly in any situation
- Strong customer service skills
- Public speaking skills
- Mechanically inclined
- Second language an asset
