Reporting to an experienced Director of Finance, the Finance Team Lead is a newly created role responsible for leading a team of five and overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient financial processes, enabling the Director to focus on strategic initiatives and financial reporting.
The Finance Team Lead will also support continuous improvement efforts by assisting with system upgrades and implementations, including an upcoming AP automation project, making this an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys driving operational excellence.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Canadian CPA designation required
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive industry accounting experience at a senior level
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes
- Experience within the not-for-profit sector is considered an asset
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience required
- Exposure to ERP upgrades or system implementation projects preferred
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment with minimal guidance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, approachable, and positive style
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and hands-on, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
