Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and technical professionals, fostering innovation and knowledge sharing. Reporting to the Development Engineering Manager, you’ll receive guidance and mentorship to tackle complex challenges and drive projects to success. Your role includes coordinating with vendors and contractors to ensure equipment meets specifications and timelines, as well as presenting technical work to internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design components, enclosures, and structures with a focus on plastics and sheet metal for pharmaceutical devices and applications.
- Independently conduct and modify current practices and procedures to reflect business needs.
- Design fixtures, tools, shelving, and other components.
- Work on individual designs, integrations, and systems.
- Create testing documentation, SOPs, and other required documents.
- Participate in design changes, including change control, design reviews, implementation and testing, qualification, and validations.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and validation protocols.
- Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve production or quality issues.
Essential Skills
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering and design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks
- Experience in plastic injection or plastic overmold design and testing.
- Experience in a regulated environment and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with SOPs and change orders.
- Tooling and fixture design experience is advantageous.
