Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As a Platform Engineer – Finance & IT, you will support the design, configuration, development, integration, and ongoing enhancement of financial applications that power Vancity’s Accounting, FP&A, Reporting, and Treasury teams. Reporting to the Manager, Application Technology (Finance IT), you will develop and maintain critical finance platforms, contribute to the implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and collaborate closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and technology partners.
This is a Full-time, permanent role based at our Vancity head office in Vancouver, but we are open to candidates in BC and Ontario. While this position is for an existing vacancy and provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands when needed.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Developing, configuring, and integrating financial applications used by Accounting, FP&A, Reporting, and Treasury teams
- Supporting the technical components of the new ERP implementation, including integrations, data flows, configurations, and testing
- Translating business requirements into technical designs and implementing enhancements, workflows, reports, and integrations
- Working with the Manager and project teams to plan and execute ERP system deliverables, collaborating with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Supporting change requests, releases, and configuration updates in alignment with SDLC and IT standards
- Troubleshooting production issues, analyzing application performance, and implementing fixes and optimizations
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine backlogs, contribute to application roadmaps, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Preparing and maintaining documentation related to technical specifications, integrations, configurations, and support procedures
- Supporting 24-hour availability requirements through participation in on-call rotations as needed
- Contributing to continuous improvement efforts and sharing knowledge with peers across Finance and Technology teams
What You'll Bring to the Team:
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years of experience supporting or developing enterprise applications, ideally within finance or ERP ecosystems
- Hands-on experience configuring enterprise software beyond the GUI, using tools such as XML, JSON, APIs, or scripting languages
- Proficiency in Microsoft technologies including C#/.NET Core for custom development, Azure services (e.g., Data Factory, App Services, Functions) for cloud-first deployments and integrations, and SQL Server for advanced querying, stored procedures, and FP&A reporting.
- Working knowledge of Dynamics CRM and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) for building workflows, apps, and analytics tied to financial systems.
- Experience working with or supporting ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is strongly preferred
- Understanding of application integrations, including REST APIs, file transfers, workflow automation, or middleware tools
- Familiarity with SDLC methodologies, ITIL practices, change management, and release management
- Experience monitoring application performance, analyzing system data, and identifying optimization opportunities
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex systems
- Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Clear communication skills to work effectively with technical teams, non-technical partners, and vendor

What You’ll Earn:
This role offers a salary range $71,500 to 98,000 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
