Alors que Browns poursuit sa croissance et investit dans de nouveaux équipements
automatisés, il est essentiel que ces systèmes soient pleinement compris, adéquatement
documentés et efficacement mesurés afin d’assurer la performance fiable du centre de
distribution. L’Ingénieur en automatisation soutient cette évolution en analysant les données
d’automatisation, en surveillant les indicateurs clés de performance et en pilotant des initiatives
visant à améliorer la fiabilité des systèmes et à réduire les temps d’arrêt, tout en collaborant
avec les fournisseurs de services et les équipes internes pour transformer les défis techniques
en solutions d’affaires claires et concrètes.

Responsabilités :
automatisés, incluant la disponibilité (uptime), la fiabilité et le respect des niveaux de service.
Collaborer avec des équipes interfonctionnelles (Opérations, Maintenance, TI, Logistique) afin de mener des initiatives d’amélioration continue.
Offrir du mentorat technique et du soutien à l’équipe d’électromécaniciens.
Se tenir informé des tendances de l’industrie et des meilleures pratiques en automatisation et en gestion de la chaîne d’approvisionnement.
Compétences et qualités requises :
Formation et expérience :
Baccalauréat en génie de l’automatisation, génie industriel, gestion des opérations et de la chaîne d’approvisionnement, ou dans un domaine connexe
Bilinguisme (français et anglais), tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit, requis
0 à 3 ans d’expérience pertinente (nouveaux diplômés bienvenus)
Expérience dans l’implantation de nouveaux processus et dans l’accompagnement du changement organisationnel (un atout)
Expérience avec des systèmes et outils pertinents tels que ERP, WMS, WCS, Power BI, Tableau ou GMAO (un atout)

Role Overview
As Browns continues to expand and invest in new automated equipment, it is essential that these systems are fully understood, properly documented, and effectively measured to ensure reliable distribution center performance. The Automation Engineer supports this growth by analyzing automation data, monitoring key KPIs, and driving initiatives that improve system reliability and reduce downtime, while partnering with service providers and internal teams to translate technical challenges into clear, actionable business solutions.

Responsibilities:
Own key aspects of automation system performance, including uptime, reliability, and service level adherence.
Develop and deliver presentations to internal stakeholders, clearly communicating insights, performance metrics, and recommendations.
Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Maintenance, IT, Logistics) to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Troubleshoot and resolve logistics software issues (e.g., WCS, MaintainX), ensuring system stability and performance.
Establish, track, and report on automation KPIs to support data-driven decision-making.
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to the electromechanics team.
Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in automation and supply chain
operations.
Required Skills and Qualities:

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Self-starter with the ability to independently drive projects from initiation to completion
Ability to translate complex technical problems into clear, concise business requirements
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Bilingualism (French and English), both written and spoken, is required
0–3 years of relevant experience (new graduates welcome)
Experience implementing new processes and supporting organizational change management (an asset)
Experience with relevant systems and tools such as ERP, WMS, WCS, Power BI, Tableau, or CMMS (an asset)
