About the Role -
As a Parts Advisor, you are a knowledgeable and trusted ambassador for Somerville Hino. You take pride in understanding customer needs and matching them with the right parts solutions. Your expertise in parts sourcing, compatibility, pricing, and availability ensures accuracy, efficiency, and an exceptional customer experience.

Work Schedule & Shifts
Friday - Sunday : 7:00 a.m. 8:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities -
- Deliver exceptional customer service with honesty, fairness, and professionalism
- Supply service technicians with required parts in a timely manner
- Verify receiving documents for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure accurate billing and invoicing to maintain proper inventory control
- Answer calls from independent repair shops and identify parts using electronic catalogs
- Process, track, and organize special parts orders
- Collaborate with the service department to prepare accurate and timely quotes
- Collect payments, obtain required signatures, and submit complete documentation
- Organize, stock, and maintain parts inventory
- Participate in bi-annual inventory counts (mandatory unless circumstances dictate otherwise)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the parts department and shop
- Inform customers of current promotions and specials
- Complete required HMC online training modules within assigned timelines
- Maintain company-provided Somerville uniform and professional appearance
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Parts Manager or Supervisor
What Youll Bring-
- High school diploma or post-secondary education
- Minimum 1 year of parts inventory experience (automotive or aftermarket experience preferred)
- Ability to learn and use company-provided software systems
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with strong self-motivation
- Inventory control experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for short periods of time
