Job Position: Construction Labourer
Number of Vacancies: 5
Location of Work: Various location within lower mainland with base at #10-1833 Coast Meridian Road, Port Coquitlam BC V3C6G5
Term of employment: Full time, Permanent with 40 hours per week.
Compensation: $25 per hour, overtime at the rate of 1.5 after 8 hours per day/40 hours per week
Job duties:
. Load and unload construction material and taking them to job site;
. Move tools, equipment from storage to job site;
. Clean and prepare site;
. Assist Heavy Equipment Operator secure special attachments to equipment, signal operator to guide them in moving equipment and help in other activities;
. Assist in excavation and in setting up and operating various drills and other surface mining machinery;
. Assist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials
. Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and remove asbestos and other hazardous materials;
. Remove rubble and clean work areas, machines and equipment to maintain a clean and safe jobsite;
. Perform other related job duties as required.
Requirements:
. No education required
. Some experience as a Labourer will be considered as an asset but mandatory. Training provided on site.
. Language: Basic English required

. Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, combination of sitting, standing and walking
. Able to work long hours, weekends and outdoor in various weather conditions.
