We are searching for a line cook at the Old Country Market Restaurant.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare food items that go along with current menu.
Will be expected to know their way around all aspects of the kitchen.
Assumes responsibility for quality of products served and comply consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area, making sure all side duties and daily cleaning jobs are completed.
Qualifications and skills
Recent and verifiable previous experience in the restaurant industry as a line/prep cook
Must be able to work well with others to help create a friendly work environment.
Need to be able to stand for long periods of time, and lift up to 50LBS.
Must be able to work in a fast paced, high energy environment.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
Education - Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent. Culinary school graduate is an asset.
Requirements
Food Safe Level 1
Valid driver’s license or dependable transportation to from work.
W.H.M.I.S and First Aid (OFA Level 1) are assets.
