Job SummaryTutorPrime is seeking motivated and academically strong tutors to provide one to one tutoring support to students from Grade 1 through Grade 12.
Tutoring sessions may take place in person with students in Calgary communities or online depending on tutor availability and student needs.
We are currently looking for tutors who can support one or more of the following subjects.
Math
English Language Arts
Science
Biology
Chemistry
Physics
Social Studies
French including Core French and French Immersion programs
Tutors may choose to focus on specific subjects, grade levels, or academic streams based on their strengths and experience.
This role is ideal for university students, graduates, educators, or professionals who enjoy supporting students in building academic confidence and improving learning outcomes.
ResponsibilitiesAssess student learning needs and help plan structured tutoring sessions
Provide academic support in assigned subject areas
Adapt teaching approaches to different learning styles and grade levels
Encourage positive study habits and independent learning skills
Monitor student progress and provide feedback when appropriate
Create a positive and supportive learning environment
Maintain professionalism and consistency in tutoring sessions

QualificationsUniversity or college education in progress or completed preferred
Strong academic background in one or more school subjects
Comfortable supporting students from elementary through high school levels
Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or academic support experience is an asset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
French language skills are an asset for French tutoring roles
RequirementsReliable transportation for tutors providing in person sessions
Availability during weekday afternoons evenings or weekends
Ability to work independently with students and families
Completion of a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening before working with students
CompensationCompetitive hourly pay based on subject level and experience
Typical tutor pay range
18 to 30 dollars per hour
