Salary:
Were looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Purchaser to support day-to-day buying activities and help ensure our inventory and customer orders are fulfilled on time and at the best total cost. Youll work closely with vendors and internal teams (warehouse, operations, sales, and finance) to keep product flowing and solve issues quickly.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Ordering
- Create and manage purchase orders (POs) based on project demand, min/max, and replenishment signals
- Source products and obtain quotes, lead times, and availability from suppliers
- Track orders end-to-end (acknowledgements, changes, backorders, expedites)
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
Supplier Coordination
- Communicate with suppliers on pricing, lead times, shipping details, and order discrepancies
- Support supplier performance tracking
- Assist with database updates on pricing, cost and customer account details.
Inventory & Operations Support
- Collaborate with warehouse teams on receiving issues, damages, shortages, and returns
- Help manage inventory levels to reduce stockouts and excess inventory
- Support cycle count investigations and root-cause follow-up
- Process RMA requests as needed
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
- Resolve invoice/PO/receipt discrepancies (3-way match support)
- Identify process improvements (PO accuracy, vendor communication, lead-time reliability)
- Support reporting on spend, shortages, backorders, and supplier performance
Qualifications
- 2+ years of purchasing/buying experience (distribution, manufacturing, or wholesale preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confident communicator with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Solid Excel skills (sorting, pivots, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP preferred)
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics, NetSuite or similar)
- High attention to detail and strong follow-through
- Knowledge of inventory planning concepts (min/max, reorder points, lead times)
- Familiarity with freight coordination, Incoterms, or cross-border purchasing
