About the Opportunity We are currently seeking
experienced ICU Registered Nurses for multiple contract opportunities at
Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC. This role is ideal for critical care nurses who are confident working in high-acuity environments and are comfortable managing complex ICU patients within a fast-paced hospital setting.
Royal Inland Hospital is one of Interior Health’s major referral centres, supporting trauma, neurological, and complex medical cases across the region. Nurses joining this contract will be working alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams delivering high-level critical care.
Contract Details- Start Date: ASAP – June 30, 2026
- Minimum Contract Length: 2 months
- Orientation: 3 day shifts + 1 night shift
- Schedule: 12.25-hour rotating shifts (predominantly night shifts)
- Location: Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops, BC
Compensation- $52/hour (T4)
- $62/hour (Incorporated)
Note: For contracts longer than two months, candidates must operate as a Sole Proprietor or Incorporated contractor if choosing the incorporated pay structure.Key Responsibilities- Provide advanced critical care nursing to patients within the ICU environment
- Monitor and manage hemodynamically unstable patients using advanced monitoring equipment
- Administer critical medications and complex IV therapies
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams
- Respond to emergency and trauma situations with rapid clinical decision-making
- Maintain accurate documentation within hospital clinical systems
- Support patient safety and evidence-based critical care practices
Required Qualifications Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience in Canada
- Critical Care Certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
- Active nursing registration eligible for practice in British Columbia
Preferred Experience The following experience is highly desirable:
- Neurology or Trauma ICU experience
- Experience in high-acuity tertiary hospitals
- Familiarity with BC Health Authority clinical environments
Provincial Job Ready Course Requirement As part of
Interior Health’s contractor onboarding process, the following
Provincial Job Ready Courses must be completed prior to submission unless candidates have already completed them while working with a BC Health Authority.
If previously completed, candidates must provide copies of their certificates.
If not completed, candidates must create an account on the
PHSA LearningHub and complete the required courses prior to submission.
