Glenlyon Norfolk School (GNS) is an independent JK to Grade 12 International Baccalaureate and Round Square day and boarding school located on two campuses in Victoria, BC, Canada. Our school provides an exceptional educational experience for students from age three to Grade 12 that focuses on providing robust academics, promoting healthy social and emotional development, and utilizing student-centred, inquiry-based learning within a supportive community. Inclusion Support Worker, Summer Camps
Summer Camps: June 15 - August 28, 2026
Hours: 9:00am-5:00pm M-F
Compensation: $27.04/hour ($26.00/hour plus 4% in lieu of benefits)
Mandatory Training
All successful candidates are expected to attend a mandatory training week prior to the start of camps, unless there are extenuating circumstances.
Training Dates: May 2529, 2026
Training Schedule:
- MondayThursday: 9:00 am 3:00 pm
- Friday: 9:00 am 12:00 pm (half day)
This training equips staff with the tools, safety protocols, and programming strategies needed to create engaging and successful GNS Camps. Its also a fun and collaborative opportunity to connect with fellow camp staff, build relationships, and work together to develop creative lesson plans and activity ideas before the summer begins!
Position Overview
Glenlyon Norfolk School (GNS) is seeking dedicated and compassionate Inclusion Support Workers to join our Summer Camps team. This role plays an essential part in ensuring that campers who require additional support are able to fully participate in all aspects of the GNS Summer Camp experience. Working closely with Camp Leaders, Camp Assistants, families, and the Camp Leadership Team, Inclusion Support Workers provide individualized support (1:1) to promote camper participation, social connection, emotional regulation, and overall success within the camp setting. Inclusion Support Workers help create a safe, inclusive, and positive environment by supporting campers through daily activities, transitions, and routines. This role focuses on building trusting relationships with campers, encouraging peer connections, and implementing proactive strategies that support positive behaviour and meaningful participation in camp programming. Inclusion Support Workers may also assist with personal care needs and follow individualized support plans developed in collaboration with families and professionals. All staff are expected to actively contribute to a welcoming camp environment aligned with GNS values.

You are a compassionate, patient, and proactive individual who is passionate about supporting children with diverse needs. You build positive relationships with ease and are committed to creating an inclusive environment where every camper feels supported, safe, and valued. You work well as part of a team, communicate clearly with colleagues and families, and are comfortable implementing individualized support strategies within a dynamic camp environment. You bring experience working with children in educational, recreational, or community settings and are confident using positive behaviour guidance strategies and supporting emotional regulation. Experience supporting children with diverse learning, behavioural, or developmental needs is considered an asset. Applicants must hold a valid First Aid Certificate. Close to full summer availability (June 15 August 28, 2026) is strongly preferred.
