Bee Haven Childcare Centres are looking to strengthen their team by hiring quality and committed team members to provide excellent creative programming in our existing and new before and after school care programs working with children ages 5 to 11 years old. There are 7 different locations for the before & after school care programs, all in North Vancouver. All staff work in teams to provide a fun and relaxed atmosphere that includes outside time, arts and crafts and self directed or joint play.
Successful applicants could be enrolled in an ECE or post secondary education program, possess a current ECE/assistant license, or have at least 20 hours of education in Child Psychology, Education, Nutrition and/or Phys ED, Child and youth care certificate or have a 20 hour responsible adult certificate (this online course can be taken after being hired, so long as it is completed within 3 months)
All applicants must have/be willing to get current First Aid/CPR.
Criminal Record check is mandatory.
Class 4 unrestricted or class 5 Drivers license an asset.
This is a regular part-time position which will start ASAP. Position has opportunity to have full time hours during Winter, Spring and Summer breaks.
Morning (approx. 7-9am) and afternoon hours (approx. 2 -6) available with preference being given to staff able to work 5 afternoons per week for the entire school year (Sept to June).
Extensive benefit package available to successful applicants including medical and dental, 4% vacation pay and education funding. All positions include training. All positions are subject to successful probation period of 3 months, after which the staff member is eligible for benefits.
