Job Description
Our client in the GTA is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to manage electrical contracting projects through the full end-to-end project lifecycle. This role requires strong knowledge of the electrical and lighting industries, the ability to read and interpret submittal drawings, and confidence working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role will serve as a key source of communication between customers, vendors, sales, and internal teams, ensuring projects move forward efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities: * Own and drive projects through the full end-to-end project lifecycle, proactively resolving issues and removing roadblocks * Review, interpret, and coordinate submittal, approval, and returned drawings * Act as the primary point of contact between customers, vendors, distributors, sales, and internal teams * Responsible for project accounting functions with strong financial oversight and margin protection, including reconciling invoices, tracking budgets and cost impacts, processing and accounting for change orders, and maintaining up-to-date product pricing and revision records. * Support invoicing and billing inquiries in collaboration with the Finance Department * Ensure customer requirements are met accurately, professionally, and on time * Adherence to document control procedures including in the preparation and processing of quotes, releases, revisions, and change notices, and all post sale activity * Coordinate releases to vendors, ensuring accuracy of all documentation (ship-to, contacts, quantities, pricing) * Follow up with vendors and portals for ship dates, tracking, and expediting * Track deliveries, including cross-border shipments * Maintain organized and accurate project documentation throughout the lifecycle * Support internal teams and take on additional responsibilities as required Qualifications: * Post secondary degree/diploma in a related field * 3–6 years of experience in project coordination, project accounting, or a related field * Electrical or mechanical contracting and lighting industry experience an asset * Proven ability to read and understand submittal, approval, and shop drawings * Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment * Excellent organizational and time-management skills * High attention to detail and accuracy * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; ERP experience (Oasis an asset) * Team-oriented, adaptable, and proactive Why Join? * Competitive compensation with a generous bonus plan * RRSP matching program * Comprehensive health benefits * Opportunities for career growth * Supportive, collaborative team environment Ready to Apply?
