ABOUT US
The Kee Tas Kee Now Tribal Council (KTC) is comprised of the member Nations of; Loon River First Nation #476, Lubicon Lake Band #453, Peerless Trout First Nation #478, Whitefish Lake First Nation #459 and Woodland Cree First Nation #474. It was formed in 1995 to facilitate joint action by the member Nations on matters of mutual concern.
THE PROCESS
Individual mental health providers are invited to express their interest in joining our pool of contracted mental health professionals by sending us an up to date curriculum vitae outlining relevant experience, availability (i.e. any time or date restrictions), and ability to travel to our member Nations. These may be emailed to Cindy Chapados, KTC Director of Health, at cindy.chapados@ktcadmin.ca.
Expressions of interest must be received no later than March 27, 2026.
If skills and experience match what we are looking for, you will enter into a standardized Independent Contractor Agreement. These agreements are drafted by KTC to ensure consistency and fairness and the terms are non-negotiable. The agreement is non-exclusive and selected professionals will not be limited to the provision of services to KTC.
SCOPE OF WORK DETAILS
The work assignments will be made under and are funded by:
- Non-Insured Health Benefits programs; and
- Jordans Principle programs.
Contracts are all subject to continued availability of funding from Canada.
Services are delivered primarily on an in-person basis. The site of service delivery may include, but is not limited to health centre facilities, schools, on the land, and in clients' homes (at the providers discretion and following all appropriate safety protocols). Travel is an essential part of the contract.
Registered service providers are responsible for complying with all regulatory and legislative requirements applicable to their profession and must maintain active professional registration and current liability insurance.
It is the responsibility of the service provider to ensure the appropriate storage and security of any personal health data collected in the conduct of the services and to follow all regulatory and legislative measures around data privacy and storage.
The service provider must maintain, protect and secure all files in accordance with KTC's policy and procedures.
The services require strategic integration and coordination by KTC Health. As such, it is imperative that the services are provided in a manner that is aligned with KTC Healths Values and Approach.
In carrying out the services, the selected service providers will prioritize culturally appropriate care specific to KTC's member Nations. This may require additional learning at the service providers own expense to ensure cultural competency.
