Position Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable candidate to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in wood framing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
Job Duties:
The main responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Build and install framing components, including architectural features, roof systems, and detailed structures
- Construct decks with custom sloping and complete layout work such as chalking out suites
- Stand walls, build floors, and install windows and structural components
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and renovations of residential and commercial structures
- Safely operate hand and power tools
- Work at heights, including on aerial lifts, while following fall protection protocols
- Collaborate effectively with other trades and team members on-site
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Framing Carpenter or similar role
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices, including fall protection
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
