
Human Resources Associate (Exempt - Full Time)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Human Resources Associate to support our HR operations and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of employee records and processes. In this role, you will provide clear guidance on HR policies, procedures, and collective agreements through various communication channels, while maintaining strong relationships with staff and candidates. The role also involves assisting with recruitment activities, administering employee data within the Human Resources Information System, preparing reports, and ensuring data integrity for accurate tracking and reporting.
Qualifications- A minimum of a two-year diploma in human resources, business administration or a related field; an undergraduate degree is preferred;
- Two years working experience in a human resources environment, preferably experience with a unionized workforce;
- A valid Driver’s Licence for the Province of British Columbia is required;
- Strong excel and mathematics skills for calculating employee banks and compensation;
- Ability to understand and apply the terms of multiple collective agreements and diverse policies;
- Skills in providing timely and exemplary customer service;
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people;
- Knowledge of benefits administration is desirable;
- Ability to perform other technical and clerical human resource duties under established guidelines;
- Experience with an automated human resources/payroll system;
- Demonstrate excellent computer application skills using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
- Hands on experience in a fast paced work environment with multiple priorities.
