Building Energy Modeler (eQUEST Specialist) – Mid to Senior Level

About the Opportunity:
We are partnering with a multidisciplinary consulting firm that supports real estate, engineering, and building performance initiatives across a diverse portfolio of projects.
Due to continued growth, the team is looking to hire both a mid-level and senior Building Energy Modeler with strong expertise in eQUEST to support energy modeling, performance analysis, and reporting across commercial and multi-residential projects.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly detail-oriented, technically strong, and comfortable working in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and analyze building energy models using eQUEST
- Perform baseline vs. proposed simulations for commercial and multi-residential projects
- Prepare technical reports and supporting documentation
- Support projects tied to energy efficiency and financing programs (e.g., CMHC MLI Select)
- Review drawings and technical documentation to inform modeling inputs
- Collaborate with internal teams on project delivery
- Ensure accuracy, formatting, and quality of reports in both English and French
Qualifications:
- 2–5+ years (mid-level) or 5+ years (senior) experience in energy modeling
- Strong hands-on experience with eQUEST (required)
- Experience with commercial, institutional, or multi-residential buildings
- Understanding of ASHRAE 90.1 and energy modeling fundamentals
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Fluent in English and French (written and spoken)
- Comfortable working on-site in Quebec
Assets:
- Experience with CMHC MLI Select, LEED, or similar programs
- Background in Mechanical/Building Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- Consulting experience or client-facing project work
