The City of Kelowna’s Infrastructure Delivery Department manages all capital projects that the City carries out from the pre-design phase through to the completion of construction. These projects include all City infrastructures such as roads, bridges, buildings, parks, water, wastewater, drainage, traffic signal systems & shallow utilities.
We are seeking flexible team-players with experience and training installing, upgrading and maintaining water, sanitary, drainage and shallow utility systems, including associated road restoration and construction. Flexibility is essential to work various hours, including overtime and weekends when necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Pipelayer
- Valid Class 5 BC Drivers Licence
- Highschool Diploma (or equivalent)
- EOCP Wastewater Collection Level I*
- EOCP Water Distribution Level I*
*Candidates with a willingness to complete employer funded training including EOCP – Wastewater Collection Level I and Water Distribution Level I Certifications may also be considered and will be compensated at a lower rate of pay, $35.60 per hour, until the training is completed
