The City of Salmon Arm is accepting applications for a Permanent Full Time Accounting Clerk II (Accounts Receivable) to join our team! Reporting to the Manager of Finance, this position assists in providing Accounts Receivable Administration tasks include creating and sending invoices, processing payments (cash, checks, credit cards), account reconciliation, resolving discrepancies, following up on overdue accounts, data maintenance and additional administrative support.
The Accounting Clerk II (Accounts Receivable) is responsible for ensuring that the financial and accounting records of the City of Salmon Arm are accurately maintained in accordance with City policies, procedures and bylaws. The Accounting Clerk II also provides support to the Chief Financial Officer.
The successful candidate for this position will have completed one (1) year post-secondary education in Business Administration, Public Administration or a recognized accounting designation or equivalent and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in finance or accounts. Remuneration for this position is in accordance with the CUPE Local 1908 Collective Agreement, beginning at $32.42 per hour. This position will qualify for the City’s benefits program and our Municipal Pension Plan (MPP). This position is a unionized role represented by CUPE Local 1908. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to join the union and pay union dues via payroll deduction. All terms, conditions, and benefits for this position are governed by the applicable Collective Agreement.
