Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissionsObtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routesOperate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materialsOversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipmentPerform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehiclePerform preventive maintenanceRecord cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
