In compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEYA) and the standards of the Ontario Ministry of Education (MEDU), the coordinator provides child care centre directors with professional and strategic support to guide and inform them in the application of legislative and pedagogical requirements.
She coordinates the development and evaluation of learning programs offered to children in order to ensure the quality of child care services is aligned with MEDU expectations and with Ontario's early childhood education pedagogy framework, How Does Learning Happen?
She works closely with supervisors and child care centre management to ensure pedagogical and operational alignment, support continuous improvement of practices, and ensure the delivery of services that are consistent, inclusive, and focused on the well-being and overall development of children.

- College diploma (two-year program) in Early Childhood Education, Child Development and Family Studies, or other equivalent fields;
- Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario;
- In-depth knowledge of Ontario's early childhood education pedagogy framework How Does Learning Happen?;
- Minimum of five years' experience in early childhood services management;
- Experience in team management, coordination, or staff supervision;
- Experience in planning, coordinating, or delivering training;
- Ability to support professional practices and disseminate guidelines or educational tools
- Experience collaborating with government agencies, municipalities, school boards, or other partners;
- In-depth knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA) and ability to interpret and apply provincial, federal, and municipal laws and regulations governing various departmental programs;
- Knowledge of the range of government and community programs related to child care services;
- Strong written and spoken communication skills in both French and English;
- Knowledge of the operation of various technological equipment and programs used within the department;
- Presentation skills;
- Ability to perform writing, calculations, and more complex analyses, particularly in the preparation of reports and summaries
- Possess a valid driver's license and a car.
