Golden Age Home Care is seeking Home Support Workers to provide personal care and support for elderly clients at various locations in Edmonton, Alberta. This is an on-site position; work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

- Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Duties and responsibilities:
- Support the senior with mobility, including safe transfers between bed, chair and other areas of the home
- Provide assistance with bathing, toileting, dressing, and daily hygiene routines
- Assist with meals, including preparation, serving and feeding support when necessary
- Ensure medications are taken correctly and on schedule, including direct assistance when required
- Encourage and assist with light physical activity such as walking or prescribed exercises
- Observe and document changes in physical condition, mood or behaviour and report concerns promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment, including laundry, linen changes and light household tasks
- Provide attentive companionship and emotional support throughout the day
- Ensure safety and supervision inside and outside the home
- Accompany the senior to medical appointments or community activities as needed
- Follow and maintain the established daily care plan and routine
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be able to communicate in English
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in related occupation/field
