Compute dimensions, sizes, shapes and tolerances of workpieces Inspect final productsTest prototypes and production toolsVerify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instrumentsProgram CNC machine toolsRead and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specificationsRealize machine castings to make metal molds, core boxes and precisely shaped modelsLay out, shape and assemble patterns of metal, wood, plastic and other materials from blueprints, models or templatesSet up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools
