Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team at the Birchwood Inn. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients
Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly in compliance with food safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations throughout shifts
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation
Follow sanitation procedures and maintain a safe working environment
Serve dishes promptly and courteously to guests when required
Support the team during busy service periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks
Experience
Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal presentation
Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling practices
Experience with serving customers in a fast-paced setting is a plus
Strong understanding of the food industry standards for cleanliness, safety, and quality assurance
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and consistency in meal preparation
