We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will provide professional massage therapy services to clients, promoting relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent customer service skills, and effective communication abilities to ensure a positive client experience and foster long-term relationships.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy treatments tailored to individual client needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, and therapeutic massage techniques.
- Conduct client assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and discuss goals and expectations.
- Maintain detailed and accurate client records, including treatment notes and progress reports.
- Educate clients on self-care techniques and recommend follow-up treatments or referrals when necessary.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for clients by adhering to sanitation and safety protocols.
- Manage appointment scheduling efficiently to maximize client satisfaction and practice productivity.
- Stay updated on the latest massage therapy techniques, industry standards, and health regulations through ongoing education.
Requirements
- Valid license as a Registered Massage Therapist in accordance with CMTO
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to health conditions treated through massage therapy.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming and trusting environment for clients.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively explain treatment procedures and address client concerns.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
- Prior experience in a clinical or spa setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided as needed.
