Collect data to identify areas for improvement within an organization's IT infrastructureData ScienceDevelop and implement a strategic blueprint to follow when deploying databases within their organizationDevelop and maintain computer databasesDocument customers' requirements for projectsDocument reporting needs, queries, logic, results and recommendations to other information systems professionalsEnact measures to make sure unauthorized users cannot access the dataLiaise with staff on data requirements, collection and availability Provide advice to other informatics professionals regarding database management toolsSetup the IT infrastructure to allow applications to access databasesTest data models and database management systemsDesign and develop databaseOperate database management systems to analyze dataDevelop and implement data administration policy, standards and modelsResearch and document data requirements, data collection and administration policy, and data access rulesDevelop policies and procedures for network access and usage and for the backup and recovery of dataLead and co-ordinate teams of data administrators in the development and implementation of data policies, standards and modelsWrite scripts related to stored procedures and triggers
