About the Role:
You will work with Account Managers on the Local Sales team in a client-facing role that supports the growth of digital and cross-platform revenue across Edmonton accounts.
As the Local Digital Strategist, you are responsible for:
- Developing and executing strategic digital and integrated campaigns that align with client objectives and key performance indicators.
- Acting as the local team’s digital subject-matter expert, providing strong recommendations on packaging, measurement, and performance to ensure campaigns deliver results and drive renewal and incremental revenue opportunities.
You will contribute by:
Digital Strategy & Client Consultation:
- Consulting with Account Managers and internal teams to recommend strategic digital and cross-platform campaigns (digital, social, TV, radio) based on client objectives; attending client meetings to advise on the role of digital within broader campaign strategy.
Proposal Development & Upsell Support:
- Supporting proposals, RFPs, and presentations by providing strategic recommendations, research, and packaging solutions; identifying upselling and incremental revenue opportunities within local accounts.
Campaign Management & Implementation:
- Executing and stewarding digital campaigns from booking through completion, ensuring accurate setup, pacing, and delivery against KPIs; proactively reviewing implementation to ensure successful execution.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Governance:
- Working closely with Ad Operations, Creative, Revenue Management, Product, and other partners to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and as sold; supporting consistent processes and best practices across teams.
Product Support & Internal Training:
- Acting as a digital expert for the local sales team, providing guidance on Corus digital products, packaging strategies, and best practices; supporting ongoing training and knowledge sharing.
Post-Campaign Analytics & Optimization:
- Providing campaign reporting and insights, translating performance into clear recommendations, optimization strategies, and next steps that support renewals and revenue growth.
Skills and experience you will bring:
- Post-secondary education (or equivalent experience) in marketing, broadcasting, journalism or a related field.
- 2–5+ years of experience in digital advertising, digital strategy, or media planning, ideally within a client-facing or sales support role
- Strong understanding of the digital landscape, including video, display, mobile, and social
- Experience supporting campaign execution, including ad serving, targeting, and performance measurement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort presenting to clients and working cross-functionally
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret campaign performance and develop actionable insights
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns in a fast-paced environment
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management across Sales, Ad Operations, Creative, and Product teams
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with Salesforce, AdBook, or Google Ad Manager is an asset
