Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As a Governance Consultant, you will be responsible for executing and maintaining governance processes, reporting, and documentation that support the effective operation of Vancity’s Regulatory Compliance function. You will coordinate governance activities, support compliance oversight processes, maintain governance records and repositories, and ensure governance forums receive accurate, timely, and structured information. This role plays an important part in ensuring governance activities are delivered consistently, documentation remains audit-ready, and compliance stakeholders are supported with high-quality governance reporting and oversight. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with strong coordination, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at our Vancity head office and will report directly to the Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance Operations. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Developing and maintaining governance artifacts including committee agendas, minutes, action logs, reporting templates, and documentation repositories
- Coordinating governance processes including committee cycles, reporting deadlines, issue tracking activities, and action follow-up
- Producing and consolidating governance reporting to ensure information is accurate, complete, and clearly structured
- Tracking regulatory compliance issues, action items, and deliverables to support timely follow-up and escalation where required
- Supporting the preparation of materials for management and governance forums by gathering, validating, and organizing inputs from stakeholders
- Maintaining governance documentation standards and ensuring governance records remain current and audit-ready
- Identifying opportunities to improve governance processes, reporting quality, documentation practices, and repository management
- Collaborating with compliance and business stakeholders to support effective oversight and governance activities
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Risk Management, Governance, Compliance, Law, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in governance, compliance, risk management, audit, corporate administration, or a related field
- Experience supporting governance committees, management forums, regulatory oversight activities, or control frameworks
- Strong experience preparing reports, meeting materials, governance documentation, and executive-level presentations
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and governance cycles
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality documentation and records
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse stakeholder groups
- Experience working in a regulated environment or supporting compliance, risk, or governance programs
Extra Skills That Set You Apart:
- Experience within financial services, banking, credit unions, or other highly regulated industries
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks, governance practices, and audit readiness requirements
- Professional designation such as CPHR, CIA, CRMA, CAMS, CRCM, or equivalent

What You’ll Earn:
This role offers a salary range of $86,400 to $111,800 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
