This role is pivotal in the company's mission to deliver gigawatt-scale infrastructure opportunities, particularly in the context of the AI industry's growing demand for power. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of project development, from origination to Final Investment Decision, and will play a key role in shaping the company's long-term infrastructure strategy. The role demands a leader with a proven track record in developing large-scale energy infrastructure projects, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to build and maintain executive relationships across the project value chain. Key responsibilities for the Vice President of Project Development include driving new low-carbon power projects, developing the project origination strategy, and owning the development budget and project economics. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years' of relevant experience, with a strong background in utility-scale power infrastructure and a deep understanding of the commercial, financial, and engineering aspects of project development. Experience in supporting hyperscale data centers is highly desirable. The role also involves building and leading a project development team, as well as representing the company externally with various stakeholders. The candidate should be adept at negotiating contracts, ensuring project bankability, and managing the operating cadence of the development process.
