The Opportunity
We are seeking a proven, people-centered, progressive leader to be the Manager, Utility Services – Operations. In this role, you will be working with a group of dedicated people to help shape the Regional District’s future and make a significant contribution.
Under the general direction of the General Manager of Infrastructure Services, the Manager, Utility Services – Operations is responsible for the overall leadership and supervision of operations and stewardship within Utility Services, ensuring the ongoing management and coordination of all water and wastewater assets, stewardship programs, and strategic long-range plans and policies. This position oversees the implementation and coordination of operations and stewardship activities in accordance with the annual operating budget and local, Provincial and Federal bylaws, policies, statutory requirements.

- Salary: $129,467 up to a merit maximum of $164,423

Who You Are
You have demonstrated leadership abilities; you value a team approach and can build and maintain effective working relationships. You are recognized for your positive local government contributions and are a catalyst for continuous positive change.
You have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Natural Resource Management, or other relevant technical fields, ideally supplemented by technical courses in water resource management and civil engineering. You also bring five or more years of related experience in water and wastewater operations, with three (3) years’ supervisory experience, preferably with some in local or regional government.
