Van Belle Nurseries is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Account Manager for our Finished Plants division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth year-over-year, building and maintaining strong relationships with assigned retail accounts, and collaborating closely with our internal product development teams. This role requires a proactive approach to market trends, customer needs, and product innovation, ensuring that Van Belle Nurseries remains a leader in the horticulture industry.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* *Sales Growth and Strategy:*
* Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and grow revenue for the Finished Plants division.
* Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities.
* Set and monitor sales goals, providing regular reports on progress and adjusting tactics as needed.
* *Account Management:*
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and facilitating effective communication.
* Develop tailored solutions and presentations to meet the specific needs and goals of each retail partner.
* *Product Development Collaboration:*
* Work closely with the internal product development teams to align on product offerings, innovation, and market demand.
* Provide feedback from customers and the market to inform product development and improvements.
* Participate in product launches and promotional activities, ensuring alignment with account needs and sales strategies.
* *Market and Industry Engagement:*
* Stay informed on industry trends, emerging products, and market dynamics.
* Represent Van Belle Nurseries at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
* Share insights and best practices with the broader team to support overall business growth.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Horticulture, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management or sales, preferably in the horticulture or related industries.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, particularly in product development and marketing.
* Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
* Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
