Why this role is important? What you'll do: Lead quarterly and annual promotional allocation planning – including weekly space allocation and Legacy CPMS events set-up and transmissions. Perform regular audits to ensure Promotional plan is updated and maintained accurately. Responsible for all store transmissions, including approving and managing event cancellations, promo change forms (pricing changes/ product placement, CFO, MD, NSV, product Loyalty points…) and store communications. Develops flyer plan and page allocation schedule and distribution to ensure timelines are established, monitor the status, and ensure timely completion. Lead weekly flyer meetings to determine flyer status, plan future layouts based on sales, meet compliance and margin targets. Ensure flyers are completely accurately and on time. Determine flyer financial page budgets based on layout changes, events, and financial expectations. Own the relationship with Category Management, ARI/ Business Optimization Analytics and the Promotions Team in maintaining accurate promotional planning and flyer forecast approvals. Enterprise relationships and tactical planning with Loyalty, Marketing; including Category Management (Prestige, OTC, HBA/ Mass, Food, Electronics). Provide Category Management insight feed-back to merch planning and work with teams to ensure promotional investment satisfies need to achieve budgeted results. Collaborate with marketing team to plan and integrate tier one events from start to finish into the flyer. This includes working cross –functionally with multiple front-store divisions to ensure sales and margin targets are achieved, the right product selection is featured and is aligned with the overall campaign theme. Identifies promotional conflicts, including overlapping events, overlapping promotions and loyalty events and manages promotions limitations. System expert knowledge required to manage such overlaps. Identifies and prioritizes system enhancements and process improvements. Provides functional requirements and assist with UAT testing to ensure all projects are rolled out to all stores effectively. Approves and manages event cancellations, promo change forms (PCFs) including pricing changes, product substitutions, regional product changes and store order cancelations. Manage Promotions Team of Senior Coordinators – oversee their workloads and provides staff supervision to ensure that work is done accurately, efficiently and complies with policies, procedures, and standards as well as best working practices. Responsible for delivering error-free flyer, including in-store promotional strategy & set up; lead "On-Call" support team on weekends for flyer correction & operational support (MCC/ Customer Care Centre) What you bring: An advanced level of initiative and judgment to organize and prioritize tasks, workload, and projects. Strong process development and change management skills required for the growth of fast-paced, results-driven environment Strong technical and system knowledge an asset for Legacy CPMS, MMS, EPOS, SAP Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities Excellent attention to detail and quality control Strong decision-making, project management, planning and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to build relationships, influence others collaborate effectively with others. Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear direction. Ability to navigate a work environment that is fast-paced and poses ambiguous business issues Lead weekly rotational ‘on-call’ coverage for any flyer issues that arise on Saturday’s to stores and rest of the business Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, Business, or other related discipline or related experiences) Minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience in merchandising, promotional planning and/or retail operations or related experience within the retail and/or consumer packaged goods industries Why work at Shoppers Drug Mart?
