Role Mandate: The Associate Merchant supports the attainment of category objectives by providing a wide range of activities focusing on the execution of promotional plans and pricing, inventory management, O & A activities and reporting. Accountabilities: Assortment and Promotional Execution Execute and complete new item set-up and item discontinuation process Key all promos into Item Selection Allocation Tool (ISAT) and run integrity reports Collaborate with Planogram resources to communicate or reinforce specific category goals and to ensure that the overall strategy for the category is reflected in planograms Pricing and Inventory Management Execute cost and retail price changes in templates/systems Resolve scan log and error log issues Work with Supply Chain for distribution of replacement products Action code-dated items Billings Prepare for and attend internal Over & Above (O&A) meetings Input regular O&As into systems Track O&As and follow up with vendors on auto and manual O&As Review vendor audits Reporting and Analysis Run pre-existing reports Create ad-hoc reports and provide analysis upon request from core category management (CM) group and / or from cross-functional teams Review prior week's performance Review and action gross profit exception report Role Requirements: Post-secondary education or equivalent experience Proven ability to contribute to category plans in-line with corporate strategies Ability to gather and synthesize customer and market insight Good communication skills Strong attention to detail and organization skills Proficient with MS Office (specifically Excel) Previous retail experience is preferred Our commitment to Sustainability and Social Impact is an essential part of the way we do business, and we focus our attention on areas where we can have the greatest impact.
