Responsibilities

Duties will include but will not be limited to:
- Transcription of medical dictation and associated processes
- Processing corrections as necessary
- Providing productivity statistics as required

Qualifications

Medical Transcription Certificate or equivalent required
Minimum of three (3) years’ medical transcription experience required, with experience in transcribing at least (3) three specialties for over one year for each
Preference will be given to candidates with hospital transcription experience.
Must possess excellent typing skills (minimum of 65 words per minute)
Demonstrated strong communication skills both written and verbal
Must be able to work independently in a busy environment with many distractions
Knowledge of Digital dictation systems, word processing software (Microsoft Word, etc.) and computer applications an asset
Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and work independently is essential
Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality and performance required
