Job Description
FLINT is seeking an HSE Advisor with NCSO certification and 2-3 years of experience in a field HSE position, providing HSE support for various client sites and operations in the Fort McMurray region for permanent position in Fort McMurray,AB starting ASAP. In this position, you will enjoy a Mon-Fri schedule, 8-hour workdays and benefits after 300+ hours worked.
This position does not include camp accommodations, living out allowance, or travel allowance. Therefore, it is best suited for local candidates; however, those willing to travel or relocate at their own expense are also encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Field HSE position
- Education in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field as well as specialized certifications and Journeyperson certificates are considered assets.
- Certification as a National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) and/or Occupational Health and Safety Certificate (OHS) preferred.
- Meet minimum mandatory safety ticket requirements:
- H2S Alive
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
- Standard First Aid
- WHMIS
- Physically capable of performing demanding job tasks in various work conditions.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
- Must have own reliable transportation to site.
- Valid driver’s license and clean 3-year Driver’s Abstract with under 9 demerits.
Additional Information
This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
