Who We’re Seeking to Join Our Team:
In partnership with the CEO and the Executive Leadership team, the VP, People and Culture will create and execute the people and culture strategy through high growth and ensure that AGI is an employer of choice for current and potential employees through your strategies. Thie role is responsible for building a strong, cohesive and collaborative People and Culture team to execute on strategy. The VP of People and Culture must have the ability to create and execute strategic and scalable HR programs aligned with our business goals.
Who What Success Looks Like in this Role:
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Support, coach and partner with our leaders to raise the bar as inspiring leaders that people want to follow and to allow AGI to execute on business strategy
- Strategic people planning to include salary and hiring forecasts in partnership with Finance and the business unit leaders
- Ensure a strong and healthy culture through programs and practices
- Build a strong recruitment engine including a process that focuses on diversity, equity and inclusion, and helps the hiring managers to hire individuals that are a culture add and aligned with AGI values
- Play the role of an HR Business Partner to get to know the business and the team
- Create a strong global compensation philosophy and framework including job and talent mapping, pay equity analysis, senior level long term incentives, company bonuses, creative benefits and perks that drive value aligned behaviours and to execute on company goals
- Create industry leading programs including performance management, onboarding, career development and succession planning
- Identify training and development needs to ensure growth of AGI employees, to address any skills gaps
- Ensure that the People and Culture team have the right tools to help elevate their impact within AGI
- Use data for decision making, provide the ELT and board with data to help lead better
- Advise the management and leadership team on relevant legal and compliance issues and introduce best practices to protect the organization
KPIs:
- Increase in employee engagement and culture scores
- Maintain and/or reduce turnover, specifically regrettable turnover
- Attracting top talent, quality hires and reducing time to hire
- Increase in internal promotions
What We’re Looking For:
Who you are and what you will bring to AGI:
People Success Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in an HR/People leadership role
- A builder at heart – a player/coach that can lead one moment and roll-up your sleeves the next
- Knowledge of all areas of the business in-depth so that you can better partner with each leader, understanding their challenges and goals
- An ability to improve the effectiveness of the executive team by creating a collaborative team that drives for success through effective people leadership
- A deep understanding of branding and recruiting programs metrics
- Experience developing job scoping, career paths, talent mapping and compensation cycles in previous roles
- Experience leading people practices globally is an asset
Scaling:
- Experience building out resource strategies, planning for future hires and hiring/promoting according to that plan
- An ability to contribute to high growth environments through programs that ensure successful growth (and fewer growing pains)
- An ability to help create scalable practices that reinforce the AGI culture and values

- Quantitative methods will underpin your approach for identifying high-potential and underperformance

Where You’ll be Located:
This role is remote or hybrid, but with expectation to attend occasional in person events, meetings, conferences etc. We support a hybrid way of work.
