Key Responsibilities
Lead and Oversee Financial Operations:
- Establish and implement accounting practices in line with global corporate standards.
- Manage accurate and efficient processes for invoicing, accounts payable, and receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial statements and reports.
Drive Team Excellence
- Lead a team of 2–4 employees, including, Financial Accountant, AP & AR Administrator, Finance Administrator fostering a positive work environment.
- Develop, coach, and motivate staff to excel in their roles.
Ensure Compliance And Control
- Implement and monitor effective internal controls.
- Sets up projects, project budgets and cost codes in Jonas
- Manage statutory remittances and compliance with legislation.
- Support and coordinate divisional audits and reviews.
Support Strategic Growth
- Prepare and monitor divisional budgets, analyzing variances and trends.
- Collaborate with the Leadership team and stakeholders to align financial goals with strategic initiatives. '
- Provide insightful financial analyses and support decision-making.
Additional Contributions
- Act as a signing authority and commissioner of oaths for the organization.
- Liaise with external agencies, legal counsel, and financial institutions as needed.
Experience & Education
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- 5–10 years of financial accounting experience.
- Professional Accounting Designation (CPA preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Five years of leadership experience (asset).
Skills & Attributes
- Positive, team-oriented management style that motivates and inspires.
- Exceptional time management and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Jonas/Profit software.
- Strong presentation and problem-solving skills.
