Job Summary

The Civil Engineer will perform technical tasks including determining design criteria, preparing engineering calculations and material and cost estimates, and drawing layouts and construction details.
The job also involves conducting design studies, collecting and assessing data from existing facilities, inspecting construction sites, reviewing site surveys, and composing reports.
The engineer will work on civil engineering projects related to industrial, commercial, manufacturing, and utilities build pads/foundations.
Other duties include handling site development, lot grading, parking, and managing underground utilities like domestic water, stormwater, and wastewater.
The role demands proficiency in stormwater management, hydraulic analysis, traffic management, and drafting in AutoCAD-2D, Autodesk Civil-3D, and Revit.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required.
The candidate should be a registered, Professional Engineer with 'Engineers and Geoscientists of Ontario'.
The candidate should have a minimum of 10+ years of experience in civil engineering in Canada and strong proficiency in Canadian and Municipal codes and standards.
The candidate should have strong professional standards, organizational skills, and effective communication skills in oral English, written presentation, and technical sketching.
The ability to multi-task and work according to schedules and budgets is required.
The candidate should be able to travel to client sites for data collection and construction review.
